Calwer Passage: "Exemplary Building" Award

The Calwer Passage was honored with the 'Exemplary Building' (Beispielhaftes Bauen) award by the Chamber of Architects of Baden-Württemberg. The prize was presented at the Stuttgart City Hall under the patronage of Lord Mayor Dr. Frank Nopper.

Jury statement:

"With the extensive renovation of the passage, typical for the 1970s, a conspicuous, green landmark is established at one of the four corners of Stuttgart's city center. The consistent and systematic use of urban greenery on the facade creates a new metropolitan quality in the vicinity of the building, particularly in the courtyard, where an unprecedented pleasant atmosphere is generated. Inside, the protected passage continues, evolving in a distinctly modern interpretation."
