Hinrich Schumacher

Dipl.-Ing. Architect, Advisory Board member

From 1999 to 2017, Hinrich Schumacher was Managing Director of ingenhoven associates and responsible for the administration and organization of many architectural and master planning projects. Following the completion of his architectural studies at Dortmund University in 1992, he started work for Christoph Ingenhoven and, since 1994, has been a member of the North Rhine-Westphalia Chamber of Architects.

Hinrich Schumacher has extensive experience in all architectural design duties and was responsible for the main railway station project in Stuttgart, amongst others. Prior to that, Hinrich Schumacher worked on projects such as the Lufthansa Aviation Centre at Frankfurt am Main, the Sky Office in Düsseldorf, the extension to the Al Haram mosque in Mecca, the Google headquarters in Palo Alto in California, USA, the Swarovski headquarters in Zurich, and University College Dublin.

On 31 December 2017, Hinrich Schumacher retired from the Management of ingenhoven associates and took up duties in our practice’s newly created Advisory Board.
