New Trade Fair, Hamburg

Exhibition boulevard

The Neue Messe, Hamburg’s new trade exhibition centre is woven into the layout of the Hanseatic port. It is an exhibition boulevard created as a living and vivid city space along Karolinenstraße. The central connecting axis is the exhibition centre loggia, fully glazed and linking all areas to one another. The division of the facades and the eave heights of the roof shells integrate harmoniously into the existing city structure.

The concept for the exhibition halls follows a continuous modular principle of order, which allows a high degree of flexibility. The halls are generally naturally ventilated and adequately provided with natural light. The halls can be divided into smaller units by rearranging the rail-mounted partition walls.
