As Senior Director at ingenhoven architects, Klaus W. Lenz’s key task is to lead project teams. Having completed his architectural studies at Braunschweig Technical University under Professor Meinhard von Gerkan in 1990, he has worked on numerous international projects in a number of well-known practices. From 1990 to 2007 he worked for von Gerkan, Marg and Partners (gmp) in Hamburg, first as architect and finally in a management function. He contributed significantly to a range of projects such as the Siemens Headquarters in Shanghai, the National Convention Center in Hanoi, and Stuttgart Airport.
In 2007 Klaus W. Lenz joined ECE Office-Traffic-Industries Projektentwicklung GmbH in Hamburg in the capacity of Director of Architecture. His projects there included the Thyssen Krupp Headquarters in Essen and the Kap Europa congress center in Frankfurt. In 2013 he became a member of the management at iproplan Planungsgesellschaft mbH in Chemnitz, where he stayed for five years. Finally, in 2019, he took up the post of Senior Director at ingenhoven architects in Düsseldorf.
In the course of his career, Klaus W. Lenz has established an extensive portfolio, working in all work phases of a wide range of projects, including government buildings, commercial and office buildings, housing estates, university buildings and infrastructure projects.
