Exhibition: “UNIVERSAL PRINCIPLES / UNIQUE PROJECTS” in Tokyo

The design of ingenhoven architects and architectus' high-rise 1 Bligh in Sydney, which was completed in 2011, is featured in a group exhibition held in Tokyo from July til August.
Under the title "UNIVERSAL PRINCIPLES / UNIQUE PROJECTS: Architecture Re-Setting the Agenda" the breadth of contemporary Australian architecture can be experienced for visitors.
1 Bligh is Australia’s first truly “green” skyscraper and has a height of 139 meters. The tower combines the highest grades of sustainability, spatial efficiency, carefully designed integration into the immediate urban environment and a spectacular view of the harbour. Employees in almost all offices can enjoy the panoramic views due to the elliptical shape of the building.

The compact elliptical shape is a result of the goal to maximise views and to simultaneously minimise solar heat gains. The building gained the “6 Star/World Leadership” certification in the Australian Green Star system. It is the first office tower in Sydney to do so. It also gained a “5 Star” rating in the National Australian Built Environment Rating System (NABERS).

Exhibition Period:
July 07–26 August, 2018

Exhibition venue:
Sky Gallery 3, Tokyo City View, 52F Mori Tower, 6-10-1, Roppongi, Minato-ku, Tokyo
